Great paint and naïve form in this carved flying duck by Alcide St. Germain of St. Antoine d’Abbé, Quebec. M. St Germain was a well known carver of the mid-20th century who carved many animals, fish and human figures – several pieces are in major Canadian and American collections as well as illustrated in books and in Museum collections.
